The Bahia Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation whose purpose is artistic, cultural, physical, educational and financial community wellness.

As thoughtful and responsible advocates, we are dedicated to raising awareness and taking action to reclaim and reform health, wellness, well-being and culture for underserved and misrepresented groups and communities. 

 

➢ PHILOSOPHY ON SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

As a responsible member of society and global citizen, our organization conducts business according to the following values and principles: integrity and respect; business ethics and compliance; inclusion and diversity; environmental stewardship; financial responsibility; community stewardship; and dignity of all individuals regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender identity or expression, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy, disability, military status, marital status or any other status protected by law.

The leadership team, and all members of the Bahia Foundation, serve the organization with the highest degree of individual duty, loyalty, and care. These individuals are committed to conscientiously participating in the organization and fulfilling their roles and responsibilities. Each individual is cautious, protective and committed to ensuring that the assets of the organization are used in the pursuit of the organization’s purpose. Unless otherwise directed and to the extent provided by law, all members adhere to the organization’s privacy policies and will neither disclose information nor distribute materials that shall be held in confidence.

The leadership team, and all members of the Bahia Foundation, are committed to furthering the best interests of the organization and shall not favor the interests of themselves, relatives, friends, supporters, or other affiliated organizations over the interests of, or bring their interests into conflict or competition with the interests of, the organization.

 

➢ FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP

The Bahia Foundation is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that annually files a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service to provide information to the public on the organization’s finances, public support, and activities. 

 

The Bahia Foundation is able to perform its vital work with contributions from individuals and organizations. Donations and Contributions allow us to:

 

✓ Create social awareness and educate the public on health crises impacting underrepresented and misrepresented members of society.

 

✓ Develop short-term and long-term programming, materials and activities to address social and economic disparities and create a positive impact.

 

✓ Contribute to establishing a platform dedicated to ongoing efforts and innovation to reclaim and reform health, wellness, well-being and culture for underserved and misrepresented groups and communities.
